“The only thing constant is change.”
~ Heraclitus, Greek philosopher
There’s no denying that life often presents us with our fair share of challenges, usually in the form of sudden change. These life transitions, even the positive ones, can throw us into a tailspin and leave us feeling stressed, confused and vulnerable. Even life transitions such as a new baby or leaving for college can leave a person feeling anxious and sad. These are all normal reactions to significant changes within your life.
Change, whether expected or sudden, has the ability to influence personal growth. It often provides you with an opportunity to see your own resilience, foster self-confidence and become stronger as you prepare for whatever life throws at you next. With each new challenge or change, we tend to develop new personal skills and obtain a greater awareness of ourselves, our family and our communities.
Even if you are experiencing a common or exciting life change, you still may like to discuss your feelings and explore ways to cope with the transition. I am here to validate your feelings and provide a positive environment where you are able to speak candidly, knowing you will be met with compassion.
